RX-O2 Hyperbaric Clinic is the culmination of over 50 years of hyperbaric experience, from a surgeon who used HBOT to help heal wounds to a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist with over 20 years of experience in Hyperbaric medicine. At our location we have over 15 years of treating patients in our prescription level hyperbaric chambers. The owners of Serenity A Breath for Life joined medical director Dr. Marvin Borsand to expand access to Hyperbaric medicine in the valley. Now with the ability to provide more than 65 treatments a day, RX-O2 has become one of the country's largest Hyperbaric clinics.

Alexander Borsand, MD
ABLM, FMHC

Clinic Safety Director

Alexander Lightstone Borsand followed in his father's footsteps and after finishing his Allopathic education at Aureus University School of Medicine, he attended South West College of Naturopathic Medicine to increase his knowledge of natural alternatives to prescription medication. He then became a diplomat for the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, where he studied the lifestyle interventions that prevent and cure metabolic disease. Alexander Borsand was first introduced to Hyperbaric Medicine prior to attending medical school and while still working as a surgical technologist.

After a major injury, five surgeries and a non-healing fracture, he completed 60 hyperbaric dives with dramatic results. The non-healing fracture had started to heal and the pain was non-existent. Through this personal experience he decided to become more involved in the hyperbaric community, getting his Functional Medicine Certification for Hyperbaric Oxygen and joining Serenity Hyperbarics, one of Arizona’s oldest and largest hyperbaric centers. Within the last year he opened RX-O2 Hyperbaric Clinic with the owners of Serenity Hyperbarics with the aim to increase access to Hyperbaric Medicine to as many patients as possible. Alexander Borsand is head of business development and community outreach. He is an active member of the International Hyperbaric association and strives to promote HBOT in safe and effective environments.
