# RX-O2: Alzheimer's disease and memory

## Clinical context
HBOT for Alzheimer's disease and memory concerns is an emerging, off-label use. Clinical publications report encouraging cognitive and daily-function findings, but unblinded trials, small samples, and limited durability leave benefit uncertain. A six-person memory study did not involve an Alzheimer's treatment cohort. Animal findings about amyloid, inflammation, and cellular recycling are not established patient outcomes. HBOT has not been shown to reliably reverse Alzheimer's disease or prevent dementia progression.

HBOT may be discussed as an adjunct to existing care. Continue treatment recommended by the neurologist or prescribing clinician. There is no established HBOT session count for this indication. A licensed provider evaluates suitability and prescribes care when appropriate. Caregiver needs, ability to tolerate a chamber, and treatment burden matter.

## Clinic details
RX-O2 provides physician-led care using FDA-cleared hard-shell chambers. Patients breathe 100% medical-grade oxygen through a dedicated mask or hood while the chamber is pressurized with air. Device clearance does not establish approval for Alzheimer's disease. Technicians are certified through the National Hyperbaric Safety Association (NHSA).
